Ready to Trade Frantic Firefighting for a Property Portfolio You Can Actually Enjoy Managing?

If you are currently managing a residential property portfolio, you know how easily a poorly structured agency can make the work exhausting. Endless maintenance backlogs, difficult communication lines, and reactive management can leave you spending your days putting out fires instead of delivering a great service.

A standout independent property specialist in Stoke-on-Trent is expanding its portfolio and looking for a dedicated Property Manager to join its team. Known across Staffordshire for exceptional staff retention and strong landlord loyalty, this business has built its success on proactive asset management rather than reactive stress. Backed by an experienced leadership team and modern tech platforms, they give you the time, trust, and resources needed to manage your portfolio properly.

Why Make the Move?

Experienced property managers do not leave their roles because they dislike the industry. They leave because bad systems and unmanageable caseloads make the job unnecessarily stressful. Here is why this opportunity offers a genuine step forward:

  • Balanced Caseloads: Enjoy manageable portfolio sizes designed around quality service, ensuring you have time to resolve issues thoroughly without burning out.
  • Modern Property Tech: Fully automated maintenance portals and digital inspection software streamline daily admin, keeping tenant and contractor updates clear and simple.
  • Strong Contractor Network: Work with a reliable, pre-approved panel of local tradespeople who respond quickly and get repairs done right the first time.
  • Supportive Environment: Benefit from a collaborative team culture, clear internal career progression, and an approachable management team that actively supports your decisions.

The Role

Your main focus is maintaining excellent standards across a designated residential portfolio, building strong relationships with landlords and tenants, and protecting client investments.

Key Outcomes

  • Protecting landlord assets by managing scheduled maintenance and proactive repairs efficiently.
  • Building long-term trust with property owners through clear, consistent communication.
  • Retaining quality tenants by delivering prompt, professional resolutions to day-to-day queries.
  • Managing regular property inspections using digital tools to produce clear, actionable client reports.
  • Overseeing tenancy renewals and safety compliance to keep every property fully legal and secure.
  • Working with trusted local contractors to ensure repairs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Handling check-outs and deposit resolutions fairly to ensure smooth tenant transitions.

What Will Help You Succeed

  • Proven experience managing a residential property portfolio within an estate or letting agency.
  • Good knowledge of current UK residential lettings legislation and safety compliance.
  • Strong organisation skills with a calm, methodical approach to solving daily challenges.
  • A natural ability to communicate clearly with landlords, tenants, and external contractors.
  • A full UK driving licence.

What Is on Offer

  • Basic Salary: £29,000 per annum (above regional market average)
  • Workplace Perks: Generous mileage allowance, company pension scheme, and modern office facilities
  • Career Growth: Ongoing professional development with direct support toward industry qualifications
  • Work-Life Balance: Structured working hours with dedicated administrative support
