If you’re an experienced Property Manager who enjoys having ownership of your portfolio but wants to work somewhere that still feels personal, supportive and close-knit, this is a role worth considering.

We’re working with an established independent estate and lettings business that has been helping people move across Leicester for more than 25 years.

Today, the company has around 30 local property experts and has built an excellent reputation, backed by over 1,000 verified Google reviews and a 4.8★ average rating.

For the right Property Manager, that means joining a business with genuine local credibility, an established client base and a team that takes service seriously , without losing the friendly culture that has helped make the company successful.

Why This Company Is Different

This isn’t a large corporate where you’ll feel like another number.

It’s an independent, well-established property business where people work closely together, support one another and recognise good performance.

The culture is important. There are regular team events, half-yearly awards and a real emphasis on finding people who will fit into the team, rather than recruiting on experience alone.

You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your experience beyond pure property management, working alongside the wider lettings, sales and accounts teams and supporting the lettings operation when needed.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 160 residential properties, acting as the main point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors.

You’ll be given plenty of ownership, with the focus on keeping tenancies running smoothly, protecting landlord relationships and resolving issues before they become bigger problems.

There will also be some involvement with the lettings team, particularly as part of the Saturday rota, giving you more variety than a traditional portfolio-only Property Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
  • Managing maintenance, repairs and contractor relationships.
  • Resolving tenancy and property issues efficiently.
  • Monitoring rental payments and dealing with arrears.
  • Reviewing rents and having commercially confident conversations with landlords.
  • Keeping properties and tenancies compliant with current legislation.
  • Managing deposits, Right to Rent checks and key tenancy documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate property and tenancy records.
  • Working closely with lettings, sales and accounts colleagues.
  • Supporting enquiries, viewings, applications and offers when required.

What Will Help You Succeed?

You’ll ideally have at least one year’s experience within residential lettings or property management and be comfortable taking responsibility for your own portfolio.

You’ll need to be organised, confident dealing with landlords and tenants and able to make sensible decisions when problems arise.

Attention to detail is important, particularly around compliance, but so is personality.

They’re looking for someone approachable, dependable and commercially aware who genuinely enjoys being part of a team.

What’s On Offer?

  • £28,000–£31,000 OTE
  • Commission scheme
  • Company pension
  • Established portfolio of approximately 160 properties
  • Join a business with 25+ years in the local property market
  • Over 1,000 verified customer reviews and a 4.8★ average rating
  • Supportive, close-knit team
  • Regular company events
  • Half-yearly awards and recognition
  • Broader exposure across the lettings operation
  • Opportunity to develop your career within an established independent property business
