Office Based With External Appointments

Are you already working in lettings and ready for a role where you can build stronger client relationships, take more ownership and develop your career?

This Newark-based opportunity offers the chance to join a professional property business where your contribution will be visible and valued. Rather than simply moving applicants through a process, you will play an important part in delivering a positive experience for landlords and tenants while helping the branch grow.

Why consider this move?

This role would suit a Lettings Negotiator who enjoys the people-focused side of property but also wants clear responsibility for results. You will have the opportunity to manage enquiries, build relationships with landlords and applicants, and turn conversations into successful tenancies.

You will be joining a business that understands the importance of providing a responsive, personal service. It is an ideal next step for someone who wants to strengthen their lettings knowledge, increase their commercial impact and become a trusted member of the local team.

The role

As a Lettings Negotiator, you will guide applicants through their property search while helping landlords secure suitable tenants as efficiently as possible.

You will manage the lettings journey from the initial enquiry through to an agreed tenancy, maintaining regular communication and ensuring opportunities are followed up properly.

Key responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants
  • Qualifying enquiries and matching people with suitable properties
  • Conducting engaging, well-prepared property viewings
  • Following up applicants and progressing interest into agreed tenancies
  • Negotiating offers while protecting the interests of the client
  • Keeping landlords informed with clear and constructive feedback
  • Identifying opportunities to generate new instructions and referrals
  • Maintaining accurate records and progressing each tenancy efficiently

What will help you succeed?

You will ideally have previous experience within residential lettings, estate agency or a closely related property role.

You should be confident speaking with a wide range of people, comfortable working towards targets and able to keep several tenancies moving at once. A proactive approach, sound judgement and genuine interest in helping people find the right home will be important.

A full UK driving licence is likely to be required due to property viewings.

What is on offer?

  • Salary of £27,000 per annum
  • A customer-facing role with genuine responsibility
  • The opportunity to build your local property knowledge and professional reputation
  • Scope to develop your lettings and negotiation skills
  • A varied working day combining relationship management, viewings and commercial activity
  • The chance to make a measurable contribution to the success of the branch

If your current role no longer offers the responsibility, recognition or development you are looking for, this could be the right time to explore something new.
