Office Based With External Appointments
Are you a confident Property Manager who enjoys keeping tenancies moving smoothly, solving problems before they escalate, and building strong relationships with landlords and tenants?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established independent property business in Birmingham, with a busy lettings department, a supportive team culture, and a strong presence across the local market. You’ll be part of a company that values proper communication, high standards, and a calm, professional approach to property management.
As Property Manager, you’ll take ownership of a managed portfolio and become the trusted point of contact for landlords and tenants. You’ll make sure maintenance is handled efficiently, compliance is kept on track, and every tenancy is managed with care from move-in through to renewal and beyond.
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Managing a portfolio of residential lettings properties across Birmingham and the surrounding area
- Acting as the main contact for landlords, tenants, contractors, and internal lettings teams
- Coordinating maintenance issues from initial report through to completion
- Arranging property visits and following up on any required works
- Handling tenancy renewals, deposit queries, rent arrears, and end-of-tenancy matters
- Keeping landlords updated with clear, professional communication
- Ensuring properties remain compliant with current lettings legislation
- Working closely with contractors to secure quotes, approve works, and monitor progress
- Supporting the wider lettings team to deliver a smooth customer experience
What you’ll bring
You’ll already have experience in residential property management or a closely related lettings role. You’ll be organised, practical, and comfortable managing a busy workload without losing sight of the people involved.
You’ll suit this role if you enjoy variety, can stay calm under pressure, and know how to balance landlord expectations with tenant needs. Strong communication skills are essential, along with good attention to detail and a sound understanding of lettings processes.
Why this role stands out
This is a great move for a Property Manager who wants stability, responsibility, and the chance to work within a professional Birmingham agency where your contribution will be noticed. You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of your portfolio while working alongside experienced property professionals who understand the pace and demands of lettings.
