Are you a Lettings Negotiator who enjoys more than just booking viewings and chasing feedback?

This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful independent estate and lettings agency in Northampton town centre, where you’ll be trusted to play a key role across lettings, negotiation, landlord communication and maintenance support.

This established independent agency has built a strong local presence across residential sales and lettings, with a busy town centre office, a loyal client base and a team that understands the Northampton property market inside out.

They offer a professional but down-to-earth environment where good people are valued, supported and given room to make a genuine impact.

As Lettings Negotiator, you’ll help keep the lettings department moving smoothly, matching quality tenants with the right homes, negotiating offers, supporting landlords and assisting with maintenance coordination where needed. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, likes being close to the action and takes pride in delivering a reliable, knowledgeable service.

What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Registering and qualifying tenants looking for rental properties in Northampton and surrounding areas
  • Arranging and carrying out viewings, providing honest and helpful property advice
  • Negotiating offers between tenants and landlords to secure successful lets
  • Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants
  • Supporting the lettings process from initial enquiry through to move-in
  • Assisting with maintenance queries, liaising with contractors, landlords and tenants
  • Keeping applicants updated and maintaining accurate records on the agency system
  • Helping to promote available rental properties and maximise viewing opportunities
  • Working closely with the wider branch team to deliver a smooth lettings service

What you’ll bring

You’ll ideally have experience within residential lettings, estate agency or a closely related property role. You’ll be confident speaking with landlords and tenants, comfortable negotiating, and organised enough to manage a busy workload without letting standards slip.

A proactive approach is essential. The right person will be someone who spots what needs doing, communicates clearly and enjoys being part of a successful local agency where no two days feel the same.

Why this role stands out

This is not a narrow lettings role where you are limited to one part of the process. You’ll be involved in the full lettings journey, with additional exposure to maintenance support, landlord care and property management-style responsibilities.

For someone who wants to develop broader lettings experience within a respected independent agency, this is a strong next step.

You’ll be joining a busy Northampton town centre office with an established reputation, a successful lettings operation and a team that values practical knowledge, reliability and excellent customer service.
