Are you organised, confident on the phone, and ready to build a career in the property industry?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, professional and well-established lettings agency in Leicester, where you will be supported from day one through a structured trainee programme and hands-on guidance from an experienced senior management team.

This role would suit someone who has gained strong customer service experience in a telephone-based or office-based role and is now looking for a clear career path within lettings and property management.

You do not need previous property experience, but you will need a calm approach, good attention to detail and the ability to keep on top of a busy workload.

As a Trainee Property Maintenance Coordinator, you will learn how to manage maintenance issues across a portfolio of rental properties, acting as a key point of contact between tenants, landlords, contractors and the wider lettings team.

You will develop the skills to assess repair requests, arrange works, follow up on progress and ensure everyone receives a professional and helpful service.

What you will be doing day to day:

  • Taking maintenance calls and emails from tenants, landlords and contractors
  • Logging repair issues accurately and updating internal systems
  • Liaising with approved contractors to arrange quotes, repairs and follow-up visits
  • Keeping tenants and landlords informed throughout the maintenance process
  • Supporting the property management team with administration and diary coordination
  • Helping to prioritise urgent and routine maintenance requests
  • Checking work updates and ensuring jobs are completed professionally
  • Learning lettings legislation, compliance requirements and best practice procedures
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the business

What we are looking for:

You will be someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems and keeping things organised. A background in customer service, administration, call handling, hospitality, retail, contact centres or a similar people-focused role would transfer well into this position.

You should be comfortable speaking to customers over the phone, able to stay calm when dealing with problems, and confident managing several tasks at once. Accuracy is important, as you will be recording details, following processes and making sure maintenance issues are handled properly from start to finish.

What is on offer:

This is a genuine trainee opportunity with a respected lettings agency that has the structure, systems and senior support to help you develop. You will receive guidance from experienced property professionals, gain exposure to the lettings sector and build a practical understanding of property maintenance and property management.

For someone looking to move into the property industry, this role offers the chance to learn from a supportive team while developing valuable long-term career skills.
