Ready to turn your sales or customer service experience into a rewarding career in property?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, well-established lettings agency in Leicester with a strong track record of developing new talent.
You will be part of a friendly, high-performing team where training is structured, support is consistent, and progression is genuinely encouraged.
Many successful lettings professionals have started their careers through this training pathway and gone on to build long-term futures in the property industry. For someone with proven experience in professional sales or customer service, this role offers the chance to develop specialist lettings knowledge while using the people skills, confidence, and commercial awareness you already have.
What you will be doing
As a Trainee Lettings Negotiator, you will learn the lettings process from the ground up while playing an active role in a busy Leicester branch. Your daily tasks will include:
- Speaking with prospective tenants and understanding their property requirements
- Registering applicants and matching them with suitable rental homes
- Booking and carrying out property viewings
- Following up enquiries, viewing feedback, and tenant interest
- Building strong relationships with tenants, landlords, and the wider team
- Negotiating offers and supporting successful lets
- Keeping applicant records, property details, and viewing notes up to date
- Learning lettings compliance, tenancy processes, and best practice through structured training
- Supporting the team in delivering a professional, responsive service
What you will bring
You do not need previous lettings experience, but you will need proven experience in a professional sales or customer service environment.
This could be from telesales, recruitment, call centre, financial services, automotive sales, or another customer-focused role where communication, targets, and service standards matter.
You will be well suited to this role if you are:
- Confident speaking with customers face to face and over the phone
- Motivated by targets, progression, and earning potential
- Professional, organised, and reliable
- Quick to learn and open to feedback
- Positive, resilient, and comfortable working in a busy environment
- Interested in property and keen to build a long-term career in lettings
- Able to work well as part of a successful team
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
Why this opportunity stands out
This is not just a first step into lettings. It is a chance to join an agency with the structure, experience, and team culture to help you build a proper career.
You will receive practical training, learn directly from experienced property professionals, and gain exposure to every stage of the lettings journey. With a strong basic salary, commission, bonus potential, and clear development support, this role is ideal for someone who wants to move into estate agency with the right platform behind them.
