An established and well-run independent property business in Burton upon Trent is looking for a Property Manager to join its busy lettings team. This is a role for someone who enjoys being trusted to manage their own diary, solve problems properly, and deliver a service that keeps clients coming back.
You will take ownership of a residential portfolio, acting as the key point of contact for landlords and tenants while making sure properties are managed efficiently, professionally, and in line with current legislation. It is a varied role where no two days look the same, and where your ability to communicate clearly and keep things moving will really stand out.

What you will be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of residential rental properties
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors
- Handling maintenance issues from initial report through to resolution
- Arranging contractors, obtaining updates, and keeping all parties informed
- Managing tenancy renewals, amendments, and end-of-tenancy processes
- Dealing with compliance-related matters and helping ensure properties remain fully compliant
- Carrying out property inspections and following up on any actions required
- Negotiating and resolving issues in a calm, professional, and practical way
- Keeping records and systems up to date with accurate notes and documentation
- Working closely with the wider lettings team to deliver a high standard of service
What will help you succeed:
- Previous experience in residential property management
- A good understanding of the lettings process and current legislation
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- A proactive approach with solid problem-solving skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence in dealing with a range of people and situations
- Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
