We are working with a leading independent lettings agency in Leicester that is looking to appoint a Senior Lettings Negotiator. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role and support the Lettings Area Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy and successful lettings department.
The ideal candidate will be confident, well-organised, and experienced in residential lettings. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance is up to date, supporting the team, and delivering outstanding service to both landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Support and Leadership
- Support and supervise the lettings team on a daily basis
- Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to help colleagues meet performance targets
- Be the first point of contact for internal queries or escalations
- Compliance and Legislation
- Ensure all processes meet current lettings legislation and company policy
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation and records
- Monitor upcoming changes in regulation and ensure timely implementation
- Tenancy Process and Administration
- Oversee the preparation and completion of all tenancy documentation
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Customer Service and Relationship Building
- Maintain high standards of service across all lettings activities
- Build strong, lasting relationships with landlords and tenants
- Manage complaints and issues professionally and efficiently
- Operational Support
- Work closely with the Lettings Area Manager on planning and performance
- Contribute ideas to improve systems and drive efficiency
Key Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in residential lettings
- Experience supporting or leading a team
- Strong knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Clear, confident communication style
- Proactive and accountable approach to work
- ARLA qualification is preferred but not essential
- Competent with lettings CRM systems and Microsoft Office
